Emily Freeman earned an MFA from the University of Minnesota.  She writes fiction and nonfiction, and has been published in various print and online publications, including Lake Effect and The Morning News.  She has been a resident fellow at the Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, and received a Loft Mentor Series Award.  Emily has a short story forthcoming in Best New American Voices 2010 (Harcourt).
